Stockton, Calif. - Noelani Ho'opi'i's two-out single in the top of the fourth inning was the only hit for the Broncos as they fell to Pacific 8-0 in five innings. Jerrica Castagno pitched one shutout inning and walked a batter in the second before coming out with a sore arm. Kaitlyn Rauschnot finished off the game for Santa Clara and took the loss.

"It definitely took away some of our momentum when Jerrica had to come out," said head coach Lisa Mize.

In the third inning, Pacific scored four runs on two sacrifice flies and a two RBI double. A three-run homerun in the fourth brought the score to 8-0. The Broncos failed to bring anyone across in the top of the fifth, effectually ending the game in five innings with an eight run difference.
