Marian Dalmy, Leslie Osborne, Aly Wagner And U.S. National Team Arrive In China For 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup

Aug. 29, 2007

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The United States women's national team arrived in Shanghai, China, yesterday afternoon for the 2007 FIFA World Cup. Former Broncos stars Marian Dalmy ('06), Leslie Osborne ('04) and Aly Wagner ('02) are among those who were named to this year's U.S. National team roster.

Defender Dalmy, who was an All-American and the 2006 WCC Player of the Year while at Santa Clara, was the first member of the squad to check in with ussoccer.com's World Cup blog. She is the only player on the U.S. roster to make her first trip to China and in her postcard talked about the USA's first few days abroad, the DVDs she's been watching and her glorious victory over Marci Jobson.

Broncos fans can follow the SCU trio online at www.ussoccer.com as the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup opens on Sept. 10. The U.S. National team begins action on Sept. 11 in Chengdu against North Korea. The match will be aired at 4:55 a.m. ET on ESPN2.
