The Chicago Fire picked Peter Lowry, who was a first-team All-American in 2007, in the second round with the 26th overall pick. Matt Marquess went in the third round with the 39th selection to the Kansas City Wizards, while Jamil Roberts and Matt Hatzke were picked in the fourth round by FC Dallas (45th overall) and the Los Angeles Galaxy (51st overall), respectively. The last time Santa Clara had four players selected in the draft was 1996.]]></description>
